The first instructor to join the Swingpal and SwingFix roster of teaching professionals, Jim has contributed numerous videos to the swing-tip library and executed hundreds of online lessons for players of all ability levels.
Jim currently owns and operates Golf in the Now, LLC, a golf coaching and golf fitness academy specializing in comprehensive player development. In just four full seasons in Nashville, Jim has more than 100 clients (men, women and juniors) who have captured club championships, won numerous tournament titles, gained college scholarships, and achieved career or season-low rounds! Visit www.GolfintheNow.com for more information on these clients and the various coaching programs available when working with Jim.
Jim believes there are many different and effective ways to swing the golf club but only one efficient way for each student, and that is based largely on what they can do physically. He wants his clients to understand the root causes of why they swing the club a certain way and also how their bodies influence that. Jim teaches clients WHY they hit shots a certain way and what needs to be corrected to produce the ball flight they desire.
“Jim has really helped me with my teaching and my golf game. We met at the Tennessee PGA 2010 spring meeting where he was speaking, and I was much impressed with Jim's golf fitness and golf instruction knowledge. I have since spent a few days with Jim and he has helped me elevate my teaching and playing knowledge. As good a teacher as Jim is, he also is very humble and kind in his golf lessons. I have worked for or attended seminars with the best golf instructors in the game and I would put Jim right up there with any of them. If you are serious about playing great golf then I heartily recommend that you schedule an appointment with Jim Williams. - Des Mahoney; PGA Teacher of the Year Tennessee 2005, PGA Teacher of the Year Hawaii 1995.”
“Jim got to the root of a life-long swing issue that no one else could figure out, and I’ve seen some of the best teachers in the world. He has a great technical eye for the golf swing and his unique combination of swing and golf fitness analysis fixed my ball flight issue and improved my ball striking beyond what I thought it could be. He also nailed a putting issue rooted in my vision that I had never figured out either. – Eric Lee, plus-4 hdcp and 3-time club champion, Old Natchez CC, Nashville, TN ”
