Brian Lackey was born and raised in Chattanooga, Tenn. He began his golf career in 1996 after graduating from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Brian has given more than 25,000 lessons in his career, ranging from the elite tour player to the very beginner.
Brian has also worked hard to develop juniors and college-level players to prepare them for the mini tours and PGA tour. He encourages each of his young students to be the best they can be on and off the course and aims to aid in their growth as young men and women.
Brian's teaching methods are unique and he is personable with his students and makes it a goal for them to feel at home from day one. Brian tailors his teaching style to each student's ability, comprehension level and knowledge. Giving knowledge is easy, but to nurture a student and mature his or her swing is the process that separates Brian from many teachers. He works on the mental side of the game and helps each student learn to market themselves and build their resumes for college golf.
“Hi Brian, Thanks for looking at my swing , and thanks for the compliments. I have watched the lesson about 6 times since yesterday and I think you’re great! I played today and I just thought about the “separation” thing. I believe I only mishit one shot! I tied the best round of the year (seven one putts didn’t hurt!) I’ll go to the range and work on the drills. THANK YOU!!!”
