Workout Wednesday: Stop swaying and sliding

It was just more than a month ago that we rolled out the first edition of Workout Wednesday and since then we’ve been addressing some of the fitness issues that lead to the most common swing flaws that we see on a daily basis here at SwingFix.

Our six-part series comes to an end today and in our final installment we will be focusing more on the lower body and most notably some of the mobility issues that can lead to both swaying and sliding.

In this video segment, SwingFix instructors and fitness experts Jim Williams and Karen Palacios-Jansen discuss what typically leads golfers to sway and slide and they provide some great exercises to help you remedy those problems if you have them.

Work on these drills at home, because swaying and sliding can make the achievement of consistent ball-striking almost impossible, as timing becomes too big a component in a swing where a sway or a slide is prevalent.

And make sure to bookmark the Fitness tab here at The Weekly Fix, as we’ll be unveiling more fitness-related content in the weeks and months ahead.
