Use a water bottle to keep from "getting stuck"

We often hear of golfers talking about "getting stuck" on the downswing. This means that the club drops too far to the inside and comes into the ball almost sideways, rather than hitting the back of the ball.

The result is usually a big push or a snap hook as you try to adjust by flipping your hands over.

In this swing tip video, Brian Mogg, Director of Instruction at the Waldorf Astoria Golf Academy in Orlando, demonstrates how to turn a plain old water bottle into a swing aid to address this problem.

By setting the bottle inside and behind the ball, it forces you to keep your hands in front of you on both the takeaway and the downswing to avoid hitting it.

And after your practice session, you'll have a nice refreshing beverage, too.
