To work on follow through, throw your club
By Kiel Christianson
What do you focus your swing thoughts on -- Takeaway? Position at the top? Impact? What about your follow through?
Sometimes the best swing thought focuses on your finish position, because if you finish in the right position, chances are the movements that led up to that position were also good.
To focus on your follow through, here's a drill that even Tiger Woods would love – because you get to throw a club!
In this swing tip video, Mark Bereza from the ANNIKA Academy explains how throwing your club can help you groove a balanced follow-through.
Now don't do this in your backyard, or on the practice tee, and don't use that new $400 driver. Find yourself a big open lot or ball field and use an old club.
And then throw, throw, throw. Heck, you can even run after it and kick it if you want.
Just focus on where your body and arms end up when you launch your club straight down the target line.
