Learn how to better control your ball flight
By SwingFix.com staff
Can't keep your ball from ballooning in the wind? Tired of moon-shots that always land short of your target?
If so, then it's time to work on flighting your shots more consistently. For Tour players, controlling the height of their shots is as important as controlling the direction. And the "knock-down" is one of the most valuable shots in any pro's bag.
Amateurs tend to add extra loft to their irons by letting the clubhead go past their hands before impact. This adds loft to the club, and sends the ball into orbit.
In this video swing tip, Justin Bruton, Director of Golf at the Biltmore Golf Course in Miami, Florida, shows you how to practice lowering ball flight. And once you've perfected the knock-down, you can find your preferred ball flight.
