Improve your swing by getting rid of the sway

Too much swaying in the golf swing causes your head and body parts to move too much, which can hurt the chances of making consistent impact.

Brian Mogg, Director of Instruction at the Waldorf Astoria Golf Club has a tip on how to eliminate sway out of your golf swing.

While you’re at the driving range, Mogg recommends placing a golf ball under the outside of your right foot. When you make a swing, the weight coils up onto the leg and doesn’t deviate from your center as much.

“With the ball on the outside of the right foot,” said Mogg. “That puts the pressure more on the inside.”

Pressure kept inside leads to a swing with a tighter turn. If you have a lot of lateral movement in your swing, this drill might help.
