You've missed another green, and now you're just into the longer grass with a good stretch of turf between your ball and the putting surface.
What to do? Chip? Putt? Neither option feels quite right.
In this swing tip video, Brian Mogg, Director of Instruction at the Waldorf Astoria Golf Academy, demonstrates how to use a fairway wood or hybrid to "putt" the ball from well off the green.
This will take some practice, as the ball tends to scoot pretty quickly off the clubface, but once you have it down, it might just become your go-to shot around the greens.
