Balance problems? Practice barefoot!

Sam Snead was one of the greatest natural athletes to ever play golf. But even The Slammer got out of whack sometimes. When his timing or balance were off, Snead was known to take off his shoes and play a few holes – or even an entire round – barefoot.

In this video tip, Justin Bruton, Director of Golf at the Biltmore Golf Course in Miami, Florida, explains why losing your golf shoes can benefit your swing. As it turns out, it's awfully hard to overswing when you're barefoot.

So ignore the chuckles from the folks at the practice range. Let your piggies run free and get back to nature during your next practice session. If it was good for Slammin' Sammy's game, it'll certainly be good for yours.
